Vice President of Manufacturing and Quality Systems
Anissa Agadir has served as Vice President of Manufacturing and Quality Systems at Codex DNA since 2018. Anissa has over 20 years of experience in leadership and operational excellence in the life science research and diagnostic fields.
Under her leadership, Codex DNA’s instrument and reagent manufacturing have been transformed to meet industry-leading standards. Through the application of lean principles and an emphasis on execution, the Manufacturing and Quality teams have improved critical performance indicators, including improved productivity and reductions in production costs, waste, and standing inventory.
Prior to joining Codex DNA, Anissa was at Thermo Fisher Scientific, where she led the technical operations functions related to new product launch, transfer of cutting-edge reagents and technologies, and strategic outsourcing. Prior to that, Anissa served in various leadership roles including Diagnostic Reagent Development, Process Development, Quality Control, and Quality Assurance & Regulatory Affairs at Affymetrix (now Thermo Fisher Scientific). Anissa also held key leadership positions in Research & Development at Becton Dickinson and Company, and successfully managed various R&D programs including Antibody Development, Reagent Development and Technology, and Cell Signaling Research.
Anissa received advanced training as a post-doctoral fellow in tumor initiation and maintenance at the Sanford Burnham Medical Discovery Institute. She holds both a Doctorate in Health and Life Sciences and a Master’s in Biotechnology from Descartes University, Paris, France.
